Today we went to Pleasure Beach. There were 24 of us and all had a great time. The beach is large and was full of people. It is the place to be on Sundays. People in the water, others walking along, music, tricksters, hawkers selling all sorts of stuff. Everyone having a good time. I will get pictures and video posted as soon as I can get them downloaded. It takes a lot of time; but will work on it some tonight.

Tomorrow we will tour the campus.

  1. Hayyyllooo! I remember this day like it was yesterday! I was the obroni you met on the beach that Sunday. You said you first saw me back at UG visiting a friend of mine at ISH. I am so glad you and Sam stopped to talk with me and my Ghanian friends that day. We really enjoyed the visit with you all.

It has been two weeks since I have been back in the states. I really miss Ghana!!! Seeing all your pictures has really reminded me of my three weeks staying in the Dansoman Estates at my friends family home. Living with the locals, and taking in all the culture, great food, music, dancing, and of course the friendlyness of everyone in Ghana. I recognize so many places you have captured and remember riding shot gun in my friends car driving all over the Greater Accra region taking in all the sights and sounds of Ghana. Wowwww!

Thanks for continuing to share your experiences through this blog. I really enjoy reading and looking at the pictures. I wish you and Sam continued blessing on your journey. You for stamina to keep up with your studies and your blogging and Sam for his stamina in being.... well, your man!!! He seems to be getting comfortable with the local folks and living the Ghanian lifestyle. He seems like a wonderful man and a great companion!

Please feel free to contact me (amaesngmb@yahoo.com) should either of you just need to talk to someone who has been there and done that recently. Maybe I can relate to some of what you are experiencing around you.

I am sure you will see many more posts from me as your five months there continue.

    Take care, Be blessed.
