Hi,
We have been attending orientation. It started with a lecture on safety and then a linguists gave a lecture on African culture, which included several Twi, the Akan language, expressions and their meaning. It was very, very interesting. He lectures Twi one night a week for two hours. I think we will take that, but not for credit, just to learn the language.
Then we boarded the bus and was off to see southern Ghana. Sam and I had seen a lot of it on Friday when we went for fish; but this time a school guide gave the history which was very beneficial.
Today we will go to see one of the beaches. Our next travel will be on Friday to Cape Coast to visit one of the slave castles.
We are four hours ahead of Georgia, so the post seem to be in the middle of the night, not early
morning. :-)
Here comes pictures. Enjoy!! As I said some seem to be repeated; but my camera has a fast shutter speed and takes three shots at a time. Each may have a little something different.
Because there are so many it would take forever to title them, so if you see something you want to know about post a comment and I will try to explain. Some of the first pictures will be seen again as we traveled on the ISEP tour. Also, I am sure I will learn about what some of them are during classes. Then I will revisit and explain.
Got to get some sleep. Will post rest of pictures later. About to fall asleep. :-(((
See ya!
